Privacy Statement
SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you purchase something from our store, create an account, contact us, participate in a promotion, sign up for communications, or otherwise interact with us, we may collect personal information you provide, including your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone or mobile number, email address, payment information, order history, product preferences, and communication preferences.
When you browse our store, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and activity, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring websites, and interactions with our store. We use this information to operate and improve our website, understand how customers use our store, personalize your experience, prevent fraud, and support our marketing and advertising efforts.
Email Marketing and Communications
We may use the email address you provide to send:
- Transactional and service-related communications, including order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices, product-availability updates, customer-service responses, recall or safety information, and other messages related to your purchases or relationship with us.
- Marketing communications about Volvik products, new releases, promotions, special offers, events, surveys, product recommendations, and other company updates.
Where permitted by applicable law, we may send marketing communications to customers and others who have provided their email address through a purchase, account registration, inquiry, promotion, event, or other interaction with us, even if they did not separately enroll in an email-marketing list. Where applicable law requires prior consent, we will send marketing communications only when we have obtained express consent or another legally recognized form of consent, including implied consent arising from an existing business relationship.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in each marketing email or by contacting us at info@volvik.com. Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent us from sending transactional, service-related, or legally required messages.
SMS and Text-Message Communications
If you expressly enroll in a Volvik SMS or text-message program, we may use the mobile number you provide to send recurring automated marketing and promotional text messages, including messages about products, new releases, promotions, special offers, cart reminders, product recommendations, events, and other Volvik updates.
We may also use your mobile number to send transactional or service-related text messages when requested or otherwise permitted by applicable law, including order confirmations, shipping and delivery updates, account or security notifications, customer-service responses, and product-availability notices.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
You may opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP to a message. You may also use another reasonable method that clearly communicates your request to stop receiving messages, including contacting us at info@volvik.com. After you opt out, we may send one final text message confirming that your request has been processed.
For assistance with the SMS program, reply HELP to a text message or contact us at info@volvik.com.
Opting out of marketing text messages will not necessarily prevent us from sending non-promotional text messages that you separately request or that are necessary to complete a transaction, protect your account, respond to you, or comply with applicable law. Where required, we will obtain separate authorization for different categories of text messages.
Your participation in our SMS program may also be subject to any SMS Terms and Conditions presented when you enroll.
SECTION 2 – CONSENT AND YOUR COMMUNICATION CHOICES
How do you obtain my consent or other authorization?
When you provide personal information to complete a transaction, verify or process your payment, place an order, arrange delivery, request customer support, or process a return, we collect and use that information as necessary to provide the requested products or services and fulfill our contractual and legal obligations.
For email marketing and other secondary purposes, we may rely on your express consent, implied consent arising from an existing business relationship, or another lawful basis available under applicable law. Where required, we will ask you directly for consent or provide a clear opportunity to decline marketing communications when your information is collected.
For automated marketing text messages, we will obtain the authorization required by applicable law before sending such messages. Consent may be provided electronically, including by selecting an unchecked checkbox, submitting an SMS enrollment form, entering a telephone number and completing an enrollment process, texting a designated keyword, or using another clearly disclosed sign-up method.
By enrolling, you authorize Volvik and its SMS service providers to send recurring automated marketing text messages to the mobile number you provided. Your consent applies only to the telephone number and SMS program identified during enrollment. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Providing a telephone number while completing a purchase, requesting customer service, or otherwise completing a transaction does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive recurring marketing text messages unless you separately and expressly enroll in the SMS program.
You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of any telephone number you provide and that you are authorized to consent to receive messages at that number. If your telephone number changes or is reassigned, you agree to promptly notify us or opt out before discontinuing use of the number.
Providing personal information for a transaction does not mean that you have waived your right to opt out of marketing communications.
How do I withdraw my consent or opt out?
You may withdraw your consent or opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by:
- Selecting the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email;
- Replying STOP to a marketing text message;
- Using another reasonable method to communicate that you no longer wish to receive marketing calls or text messages; or
- Contacting us at info@volvik.com.
After receiving your request, we will stop sending the applicable marketing communications within the period required by law. We may retain your email address or telephone number on a suppression list to ensure that we continue to honor your request.
Revoking SMS consent does not require you to use one exclusive opt-out method. If you communicate a clear opt-out request through another reasonable channel, we will process the request in accordance with applicable law.
Your marketing preferences do not affect our ability to send non-promotional communications that are necessary to complete a transaction, service your account or order, respond to your request, protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or comply with applicable law.
SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so, if you violate our Terms of Service, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, customers, business, or others.
SECTION 4 – SHOPIFY
Our store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and general Shopify applications. Shopify stores data on secure servers protected by appropriate safeguards.
Payment
Your purchase-transaction data is retained only for as long as necessary to complete and document your purchase transaction, satisfy our legal and accounting obligations, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.
Direct payment gateways adhere to the standards established by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, or PCI DSS, as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment-card information by our store and its service providers.
SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, third-party providers used by us will collect, use, and disclose your information only to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.
Certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways, payment processors, ecommerce platforms, email providers, SMS platforms, telecommunications providers, customer relationship management providers, analytics providers, and advertising providers, maintain their own privacy policies governing the information they process.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these providers so that you understand how they may handle your personal information.
Some providers may be located in, or maintain facilities in, a jurisdiction different from your own or ours. If you proceed with a transaction involving a third-party provider, your personal information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdictions in which that provider or its facilities are located.
For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a service provider located in the United States, the personal information used to complete the transaction may be subject to disclosure under applicable United States law.
Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, your activity on that third-party service is governed by the privacy policy and terms of that service.

Marketing and Communications Providers
We may disclose personal information to email, SMS, customer relationship management, analytics, advertising, ecommerce, and marketing service providers that help us:
- Deliver email and text-message communications;
- Operate our SMS program;
- Personalize content and product recommendations;
- Measure campaign performance;
- Maintain consent and communication records;
- Process opt-out requests; and
- Manage customer communication preferences.
These providers may process the information only for the purposes described in their agreements with us and as permitted by applicable law.
We do not sell or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent records with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose this information to vendors, telecommunications providers, platform providers, and other service providers solely as necessary to operate our SMS program, deliver messages, maintain consent records, process opt-out requests, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable law.
SMS opt-in information and consent will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
SECTION 6 – SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow generally accepted industry practices designed to prevent it from being improperly lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.
If you provide payment-card information, it is encrypted during transmission using secure socket layer technology. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, we follow applicable PCI DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted security measures.
SECTION 7 – AGE OF CONSENT
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and have consented to allow your minor dependents to use this site.
Our marketing SMS program is not intended for individuals who are under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. By enrolling in the SMS program, you represent that you are legally permitted to provide the required consent.
SECTION 8 – CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it periodically. Changes and clarifications will become effective when posted on the website unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will provide notice as required so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
If our store is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to operate our business and provide products and services to you.
